SAFETY & PREVENTION

All equipment in the studio’s client area is wrapped, bagged, and protected with proper barrier wrap to prevent cross contamination, spread of blood borne pathogens, infections, and disease transmission. Our Studio only deals with single-use needle cartridges, and a high-quality autoclave sterilizer is on premises.

The autoclave is spore tested with a 3rd party company every 20 cycles or 30 days; whatever comes first.
Spore testing is done by Germiphene Company of Canada in Brantford, Ontario, and we receive a document of the results we display in plain sight for customers to see. Equipment from each cycle is numbered, dated, documented, and cycle is tested with an extra CROSSTEX Sure-Check Strip (sterilization monitors), in addition to each package’s independent built in indicator, to ensure the ongoing capability of our sterilizer for the safety for our clientele.

We use hospital grade disinfectants, such as Cavicide, which has the fastest and most effective kill-times we can find approved for sale in Canada, to ensure surfaces are thoroughly disinfected. All documentation can be provided upon request of the clientele.

John and Alicia take pride in having a strong relationship with the Cypress Health Authority, working together to promote safety and disease prevention in tattooing, and were grateful to have a donation made on their behalf toward The Environmental Health Foundation of Canada by The Canadian Institute of Public Heath Inspectors Saskatchewan Branch for their presentation and participation in the 2018 Annual Professional Education and Development Seminar. Check out other Artist involvement on the Community Engagement page.
